About the Pastor

Pastor Nick accepted the call to Shepherd at BVCC in December of 2021. Nick comes with a heart for discipleship and Christian education, seeking to see Christians walk deeply in their faith while building strong bonds of community to better reach the lost around them. He previously has served at First Baptist of Independence, where he established a youth discipleship program for those that wanted more than the normal youth group experience. He then served as the Associate Pastor for Union Baptist Church in Union Oregon, where he gained valuable pulpit experience while spending time overseeing youth curriculum, planning outreach events, and encouraging and counseling the flock.

Nick and his wife Greta have been married since 2015 and have two sons, Judson and Ezra. They are both excited to be back near family in the Willamette Valley, and they look forward to seeing what God will do with them at Buena Vista Community Church. Pastor Nick is a current student at Trinity College of the Bible and Theological Seminary in Evansville, Indiana.

When not serving the flock, Nick can usually be found enjoying a paper or audiobook (Theology, History, and memoirs mostly), practicing carpentry, or maintaining one of their vehicles.

No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and He will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation He will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.”
1 Corinthians 10:13 English Standard Version
